Flying into the “Windy City” of Chicago my stomach immediately started growling for some deep dish pizza (just kidding)… No but really... Coming off the 5½ hour plane ride, my family and I were ready for some delicious Chicago noms. About an hour from the airport we found ourselves in a cute little town having a family dinner - so blessed to be all together in a beautiful place. We stayed in Illinois, where my mom grew up. As soon as we arrived I jumped into a toasty warm bath, which eased the Chicago chill a bit. The next morning my mom woke my sister and I up with Dark Sumatra Starbucks Coffee and hot biscottis. After enjoying our hot yoga and warm morning delights, we headed over to the wedding ceremony of my cousin. There is nothing quite like a wedding to bring a family together. The wedding was held at the amazing Heritage Prairie Farms, in Elburn, IL. This farm extends across many acres of land, full of beautiful flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats andprairie honey! The area where the wedding was held was a permanent tent with a true rustic feel. Twinkle lights were strung across the ceiling, adding an air of magic, like only twinkle lights can. The reception was filled with music, delicious food, dancing and laughter! I thought I could wear something to this wedding that incorporated burgundy velvet because that is my favorite fall fabric and color! I owned a dress already from Planet Blue that included both these attributes! I wore a furry vest from two years ago that I bought shopping in Florence, Italy at Twin- Set. My boots, which I wore out of cuteness and comfort for walking and dancing, were from Miu Miu. My choker is from my very own line called Chokers by Chloe. This style is the “Black Holes” version: thin. Just like my surroundings I tried to include aspects of Fall, coziness, with a rustic beauty that was fitting for the time of year and location. In a space as beautiful as this one, gathered with family for a celebration, my hope was to compliment the incredible surroundings. A beautiful wedding is always a true gift from the bride and groom to their guests, and this one was no different.
